Easter!

We had a great day here Sunday. The girls perused their baskets quickly (Jilli inspected by eating a ton of sugar) and we made it to church early.

Rory did amazing in the nursery, far better than I had hoped. Jilli sat with us for a while and then went to the children's area. She clung to me like it was the end of the world but when we came back after the service she was happily playing with new friends. On the way out we stopped on campus and snapped a few pics of the girls (I consider it my own Easter miracle that I have one with BOTH girls in it.) We lounged for most of the rest of the afternoon and then welcomed Josh, Erin and Hazel over for fun, egg hunting and dinner. We opted to skip the ham dinner this year and had shrimp and grits. It was hands down one of the best meals I have ever made, and the start of a new family tradition for us on Easter. I think it was a run of the mill day for Rory. Jilli loved her special treats that Easter brought her (you know, the bunny? In Jilli's world she is first name: Easter last name: Bunny). Jeff and I have been laughing for days over that one.
