Goodbye naps...

This is what sleeping looks like at 9 pm on any given night at our house. Jilli's naps, long enjoyed by us all, need to come to an end. We are working towards it haltingly, there are days she passes out and sleeps for a few hours. Those nights has even more tutus and balloons and backpacks (hmmm...seems a little frat party around here), but we'll get there. Here's hoping Rory keeps napping til 3 1/2 as well.

Tonight's Programming

It's George! (!!!!)

Also, apparently our hockey team is good and will be playing many more games in the series that comes before the Stanley (Stanly?) Cup. I am not good at hockey.

And in last night's programming...Adam and Chris! WooHooo!

Chill

After what seems like way too long for a little one to be unhappy (following a cold, an ear infection and then the grumpy effects of antibiotics) our happy little Rorybear has returned.

Exhibit A.
Playing with her baby. This is the expression on her face pretty much any time of day, especially if she is playing with sand or water.

(Those curly wisps at her ear make me happy)

Exhibit B.

Being tickled by a giggly Hazel right after her first bike 'ride' (escorted by Josh...)

Pandemic

I woke up late this morning to the sound of Jilli whispering softly in my ear. Its a lovely way to wake up, really. Then I heard what she was saying,

"Oh no Mommy, you have a little piggy flu."

Gardening JV (Jilli Version)

Jilli took flowers from the garden for her teachers today. She told everyone about the beautiful red goober daisies.

Gardening

I find it amusing that in my sidebar I don't say anything about being an aspiring gardener. Its something I love to tinker with but just never have quite enough time (or energy) to make the garden all I want it to be. This may have less to do with being a mom with two small children and more to do with the fact that gardening is a never ending process for even the masters (and I can be a bit lazy when its scorching outside). Nonetheless, we are making some spring headway. I started tomatoes and basil from seed and they are planted in our vegetable garden now. Jilli helped me put flowers in pots last weekend. She thought the origins of compost were hilarious. I am loving our bright red gerber daisies. They are happy little flowers and make me smile every time I glance out the windows.
