Gardening

I find it amusing that in my sidebar I don't say anything about being an aspiring gardener. Its something I love to tinker with but just never have quite enough time (or energy) to make the garden all I want it to be. This may have less to do with being a mom with two small children and more to do with the fact that gardening is a never ending process for even the masters (and I can be a bit lazy when its scorching outside). Nonetheless, we are making some spring headway. I started tomatoes and basil from seed and they are planted in our vegetable garden now. Jilli helped me put flowers in pots last weekend. She thought the origins of compost were hilarious. I am loving our bright red gerber daisies. They are happy little flowers and make me smile every time I glance out the windows.
